ST. LOUIS, MO — August 2026 — ButcherJoseph & Co. (“ButcherJoseph”) is pleased to welcome Josh Kliethermes as an Associate, Aidan Palys and Jacob Zacharewicz as Analysts, and Margi Pennington as Executive Assistant.
Josh joins the Firm as an Associate, supporting a wide range of activities including sale transactions to strategic or financial buyers, employee ownership (ESOP) transactions, capital advisory engagements, and valuation advisory. He began his investment banking career as an Associate at OMAC Beverage Advisors, where he supported M&A advisory engagements within the beverage distribution space, and previously worked as an Analyst at NISA Investment Advisors. Josh holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Finance, Economics, and Real Estate from the University of Missouri and is a CFA charterholder.
Aidan joins as an Analyst, supporting sale transactions to strategic or financial buyers, employee ownership (ESOP) transactions, capital advisory, and valuation modeling. He joined the Firm full time in 2026 after completing its internship program in 2025. Aidan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics with a minor in General Business from the University of Virginia, where he graduated with honors and was a founding member of the Gaynor Family Sustainability Investment Fund.
Jacob also joins as an Analyst, returning to the Firm full time after completing his summer internship at ButcherJoseph. Prior to that, he was an intern at Righting Group, a Tampa-based search fund targeting industrial companies in the US and worked as a Field Engineer at Blattner Energy on an 875 MWdc utility-scale solar development. Jacob holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Brown University, where he was a member of the Division I ice hockey team and was recognized as an AHCA All-American Scholar.
Margi joins as Executive Assistant, providing administrative partnership to the executive team. She was previously with Broadview Group, where she supported the CEO, the Chairman, the Private Equity Team, and the Trading Team. As one of the first employees hired at that firm, she helped develop and implement processes spanning expense reporting, travel and entertainment policies, and human resources, and managed daily office functions. Margi holds a Bachelor in Business Management with an Accounting minor, as well as a Paralegal Certification.
“Adding four professionals at once reflects the level of activity we are seeing across our Firm,” said Joseph Strycharz, Managing Partner, ButcherJoseph & Co. “Josh brings transaction experience and analytical discipline to our deal teams. Aidan and Jacob both came to us through our internship program and have already shown what they can contribute. Margi strengthens the operational support our senior team relies on every day.
